About Silver State Concepts
As a licensed & approved dealer of Linwood Homes, Silver State Concepts Inc was formed in 1999 by Michael and
Sharon Arnold when Linwood Homes was seeking qualified persons for a dealership in the Tahoe/Northern Nevada
area. Mike and Sharon were in the market for a home in 1998 and had done an exhaustive survey of the products that
were available at the time. The options had been reduced down to a few finalists, when Linwood came to their
attention. On the basis of a superior product, including quality of materials, wide selection of plans and the support behind
their product, Linwood was an easy selection for their new home. The capability of customizing any Linwood or
customers plans, at no additional cost, was primary in their selection. Silver State Concepts supports customers on the
eastern and western sides of the Sierra's and has a number of satisfied customers in California, Nevada and Oregon.
The first of three Silver State Concept show homes is just southwest of Carson City, Nevada, in beautiful Clear Creek
Canyon, with a dark green rooftop which can easily be seen by traffic on nearby Highway 50, coming down the hill from
Lake Tahoe (the first home shown at left, and is shown in a winter setting). The second Silver State show home is a
traditional farmhouse style home, located on the east side of Carson City with spectacular views of the city and mountains
(the middle home shown at left). The third show home is a charming, mountain style cabin situated among beautiful pine
trees, located in Graeagle, California.

John & Christine Seay (& Cody too!)
Mike is retired from a large gas utility in California where he worked as an electronics engineer. He founded and
managed the communications department for the company, involving microwave, telephone, radio and pager systems.
He also has an extensive background in the building industry, primarily in the Los Angeles mountain areas of Lake
Arrowhead and Big Bear. He is an accomplished computer designer and utilizes an architectural CAD system for
preliminary custom design work on clients plans.
Sharon is a retired special education teacher. She has a background in journalism with Nevada newspapers and has
experience with office administration, customer relations, sales and marketing. She has developed an extensive
knowledge of the building industry and challenges the stereotype of women in the building trades.
John and Christine Seay joined the Silver State sales team in 2006. After working in the transportation industry for over
20 years, John decided to venture into the construction field where he built and completed his own Linwood home in
early 2007. Since that time, he has amassed a vast knowledge of the building industry, from the basics of excavation, to
the intricate details of ICF blocks and detailed finishing work. John has since worked as project manager/lead foreman
on numerous construction jobs, and brings his building expertise to those Silver State clients looking for the comfort of
outside help to protect their custom home interests.
Christine has over 20 years experience in office administration, customer service, risk management and facilities
maintenance. She is quickly increasing her own knowledge of the building industry from the beginning steps of submitting
design plans to the city's building department, to negotiating with sub-contractors on building contract costs and lead
times.
